Police are looking for two suspects after a homeless man was beaten and robbed in downtown Wichita yesterday.

Around 4 p.m. Monday, police say a 52-year-old homeless man was sitting at a park near the 600 block of East Douglas when he was struck over the head from behind. The man was knocked unconscious and lost two teeth.

He woke up, realized he'd been robbed of a cell phone and $100, then passed out again. Someone nearby noticed the man and called 911. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police are looking for two people in connection to the attack: The first, who police believe hit the victim, is described as a black man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing a purple shirt and blue shorts. The other is a white woman, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighed approximately 210 pounds. She reportedly had brown hair and was wearing black pants.
