A FedEx driver is dead after a collision in McPherson County over the weekend.

The crash happened just after 9:30 Saturday morning at the intersection of K-61 and Comanche Road, southwest of McPherson.

According to the McPherson County Sheriff's Office, a FedEx delivery van was eastbound on Comanche Road when the driver failed to yield at a stop sign and entered the highway. The van then collided with a Ford F-150 that was traveling southbound on K-61.

The FedEx van overturned, ejecting the driver. Edwin A. Torez-Rubio, 24, of Lindsborg was killed. The 36-year-old driver of the pickup was taken to an area hospital but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

No one else was hurt.
