Wichita first responders are sending out a warning over the airwaves in hopes of keeping people out of the rushing waters.
The fire and police departments are telling people just how dangerous the rivers and streams are right now because of all the rain we've had recently. Their hope is to keep people safe.
"It only takes a second before you can be swept away in the water," said Lt. Doug Nolte. "It continues to rain, so it continues to be high water, so it's a concern."
The public service announcement will run on TV and radio until the waters recede.
