After last Sunday night's apparent double murder/suicide the town of Canton came together to help the children left behind after the tragedy.

Just after 8 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a shooting in the 2600 block of Frontier Road near the town of Canton.

When deputies arrived at the residence, they found two adults dead, 33-year-old Becky Huff and 47-year old Mark Luttig.

Two children, a 13-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy, were found unharmed.

A third individual was found dead just west of the residence of an apparent gunshot wound. He has been identified as 30-year-old Brian Huff.

The Lyons Club saw the need to step in and help what was left of this family, still devastated after their loss. They decided to hold a fundraiser that would allow them to distribute the money raised to those who needed it the most in their community, the children.

Hundreds of people showed up to show their support at the fundraiser. Some even wore shirts remembering the lives that were lost.

As people were parting with their cash, they said it was easier to donate money knowing the proceeds from the dinner, auction and the fire truck rides were going to children who were alone and in need.
