Attorney General Steve Six concludes three Wyandotte County officials didn't intentionally violate the law by appearing in a video promoting a company that wanted to operate a state-owned casino.
Six says there is insufficient evidence that the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kan., commissioners violated the law.
They appeared in a video by Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. when it was making a bid for the Wyandotte County casino contract. Pinnacle withdrew its application in September.
The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission asked the attorney general to look into the matter. Commission spokesman Mike Deines said Friday its role ended when it forwarded the matter to Six's office.
