Union Contract Talks

Most Boeing workers are thinking aobut their immediate future--hoping to avoid a layoff. The machinists union needs to start thinking contract negotions.

Boeing starts meetings with the union to talk about the next three years and what kind of contract the workers that still have jobs want.

Jobs and job securtiy top the machinists list. Next, the members want decent, secure retirement plans. High quality, affordable health care is also at the top of the list.

It's no wonder job security wold be at the top of the things the machinists are hoping for during this negotiation session. This is, after all, one of the most insecure times for aerospace workers in many years.
