A fight over a game of pool ended with gunfire early this morning in the parking lot of a Northeast Wichita club.

Shortly before 2 a.m., a group of men began fighting over the game inside Backstage, but then ventured outside in the parking lot.

Outside, a pair of men opened fire on a man in his late 20's, said Wichita Police Lt. Walker Andrews.

But before police arrived, the man ran to an apartment complex north of the club to escape the men and waited for EMS to arrived.

The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition with two gunshot wounds in his leg.

Police are searching for the two suspects. If you have any information, call police.

The initial report from officers at the scene indicated the shooting involved the Loony Bin Comedy Club. As the investigation continued, officers learned the shooting was in no way connected to the club or its customers.

This is your full story. The police wont even tell his family anything they told us to watch the news and this is your full story. Our police are worthless. I have been continually disappointed with the lack of training and their inability to interact with other agencies.

Too many white people? HA! Wow...someone needs to be educated on a few things before posting such bs.

Why don't they start running this story as a headline every hour for the next 2 weeks? That seems to be what happens if something happens in Old Town. This is what happens when you get too many white people in one spot, best to make them move along.

Police have already given up the case, we need all the manpower they have on the important seatbelt law.
