FROG AND GREEN BEANS
August 1
A Wichita family makes a disgusting discovery when they open up a can of green beans.
Now they are asking others to look very closely before taking a bite.
A dinner with his parents quickly turned south when Bobby Kissell found an unexpected suprise in a can of green beans
Without a head or legs the Kissells aren't completely sure, but they believe it was a frog.
While it's enough to make you lose your appetitie, you should expect to find some pieces or fragments of bugs in your canned veggies.
The government even has guidelines that specifically outline how much insect is too much in your food--like 3 mm of worm larvae in your corn is okay-- entire bugs and frogs though are not allowed
In the case of the Kissels, the family did contact the cannery on the label.
Bobby says he was asked to freeze the amphibian in question and Fed Ex it back to the company.
In exchange, the cannery would send the Kissells some gift ceritificates
Bobby says he won't be buying green beans with them.
