While You Were Sleeping - Three Injured In Separate Kansas Crashes

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

Before you head out the door, we like to catch you up with what happened while you were sleeping.

Emergency crews were called to a car fire at K-42 and Tyler Road in southwest Wichita about 4:40 a.m. It was quickly extinguished and nobody was hurt.

One person was hurt in a crash in Butler County about 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The crash happened on U.S. Highway 54 near Rosalia Road. Butler County dispatchers tell KAKE News one person was flown to a Wichita hospital in critical condition. Two other people declined treatment.

Two men were hurt in a truck rollover in Thomas County early Wednesday morning.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the truck was westbound on I-70 about 15 miles southeast of Colby about 1 a.m. when it entered the median and the driver overcorrected, causing the truck to roll onto its driver's side. The driver and a passenger were taken to a hospital in Colby.
