Most Wichitans remember the September hail storm that pounded parts of the city. Four months later, many homeowners feel they fell victim to a roofing scam.
The hail storm caused millions of dollars in damage in West and South Wichita. Several homeowners hired a company called Stormguard Construction to repair their roofs and they put thousands of dollars down with the company.
Today, those residents still have no new roof and their money is gone.
"It didn't even dawn on us until December that something wasn't right," said homeowner Renita Terrell.
KAKE News tried to contact the company several times. We haven't heard back and some of the numbers are disconnected. The district attorney's office and the Better Business Bureau are looking into the company.
