All of the snow is causing accidents across the city. At I-235 and West street this morning a car slid across the highway and rolled into oncoming traffic. The driver wasn't injured. On the canal route, an SUV flipped, landing on its top. The driver in this wreck, received minor injuries.
And while this is basically a repeat of the storm last week, troopers remind everyone of the rules of the road during the winter blast.
"We are urging drivers to slow down, and make sure everyone is wearing a seat belt," said Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Gary Warner.
Sedgwick County 9-11 dispatchers reported between midnight and 4:30 this afternoon, there were 89 non-injury accidents and 21 injury accidents. During those same hours during the storm last week the non injury accidents were at just 37 and injury accidents- just seven.
