A Liberal teenager is dead after a semi plowed into his car Monday afternoon in Seward County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Michael Huntley-Redmond, 16, was driving through the intersection of County Road 2 and County Road P, when a semi-tractor driver failed to yield and hit Huntley-Redmond's car.
Redmond was pronounced dead hours later. He was wearing his seat belt. The driver of the semi, 71-year-old Charles Lucas of Liberal, was taken to a local hospital. His condition is not immediately available.
