Wichita Police said a teenager who was the subject of an extensive search was found with someone she met online about a week ago.

Lt. Jeff Weible say the 14-year-old left a note saying she was leaving her home in the 3600 block of East Dunham to go for a walk at about midnight Wednesday. She was found about 12 hours later at a Park City home.

Investigators said the girl made arrangements with a teen she met online and was picked up a block from her home. The boy who was arrested is 17 years-old. He's being held for suspicion of indecent liberties and possession of marijuana. The girl is being held at the Wichita Children's Home.

Police reminded parents to monitor their children's activities and communications online. One resource recommended by investigators is netsmartz.org
