At least two semis were blown over on I-70 near the Sherman/Thomas County line Thursday afternoon. The National Weather Service received the reports from local law enforcement around 1 p.m.

A tight pressure gradient resulted in extremely high winds across the state of Kansas Thursday. As a result, winds were clocked at more than 60 miles-per-hour at times in the northwest part of the state.

There were no reports of serious injuries. A high wind warning continues for most of Northwest Kansas until 7 p.m.
