Wichita is the location for the latest British invasion. But this time, it's food and not music.
World-class British chefs from an upcoming reality show on BBC America hit the Air Capital. In the show, American and British chefs are racing from town to town across the country, each trying to outdo the other. But each team must cook food from their opponent’s country.
Wichita city leaders said the show will help put the city on the map.
“For Wichita to be chosen to do this out of the cities that they’re stopping across the country, it’s a showcase for our city,” said James Clendenin, Wichita City Council member.
Chef Race: UK vs. US is expected to air in the fall.
