The City of Wichita is getting into the Christmas spirit, teaming up with the North Pole for the holidays.
Children ages 12 and under can drop off letters to Santa at downtown city arts buildings. The letters will be entered for a gift giveaway. The grand prize winner will receive a ride to school, courtesy of the Wichita Fire department. Other prizes include a free youth art class at CityArts, memberships to Cowtown and the Indian Center, and a gift certificate to Century II.
Santa will also respond to letters that include a self-addressed stamp envelope.
Letters can be dropped off until Dec. 14. Participating locations include Century II, 225 W. Douglas; CityArts, 334 N. Mead; Mid-America All-Indian Center, 650 N. Seneca; or the Old Cowtown Museum, 1865 W. Museum Blvd.
