LAWRENCE, Kan. (KAKE/AP) — Authorities have arrested the second suspect in the shooting death of a Wichita man in Lawrence last month. 

Andrel Spates, Jr, 19, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Tennessee on Wednesday in connection with the Sept. 8 shooting death of Christian Talib Willis, the Salina Post reports. Spates is being held for first-degree murder.

The other suspect, Javier Isidro Romero, 18, was arrested last month.

Willis' little sister, Azuri Jones, was shot and killed in Wichita on Sept. 23.

Lawrence police have arrested one suspect in the shooting death of a 21-year-old Wichita man near the University of Kansas campus and are looking for a second suspect.

Police spokesman Patrick Compton said in an email that 18-year-old Javier Isidro Romero was arrested on Friday night in connection with the Sept. 8 shooting death of Christian Talib Willis.

The Lawrence Journal-World reports that records show that Romero was booked into the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder and was being held on $1 million bond.

Compton said the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office assisted in Romero’s arrest.

Police are still seeking another suspect in the case, 19-year-old Andrel Darnell Spates Jr., of Lawrence. Compton said Spates is 6 feet (1.83 meters) tall and 165 pounds (74.84 kilograms) and is considered armed and dangerous.
