A 33-year-old man was killed and two others suffered serious injuries when a car and pickup truck collided head-on near Abilene. 

The crash happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. Friday on Interstate 70 east of the town in Dickinson County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Scott Chronister was driving east in the westbound lane and his Chevy Spark crashed head-on into a Dodge Ram. 

Both vehicles rolled after the collision. 

Chronister, of Abilene, died at the scene. The 64-year-old driver and 32-year-old passenger in the truck were taken to a hospital in Salina. 

Additional information about the crash was not provided.
