WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - The Kansas Humane Society says due to a gas leak at the shelter, they are lowering dog adoption fees in order to get the pets into homes. 

KHS said in a social media post Friday that gas has been shut off at the shelter and they currently are operating without heat. Now through Sunday, all dog adoptions will be $50, excluding high-profile dogs. All adult cats will remain pick-your-price.
