CHEYENNE COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - A couple died Monday night following a crash in Cheyenne County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says just before 8 p.m. Monday, a couple driving in a 2007 Ford F350 was northbound on Highway 161 just south of County Road BB. 

The passenger side tires left the roadway and the truck entered the east ditch, the KHP says. The driver, 76-year-old Diana Witcher of Atwood, maneuvered back onto the roadway, crossed both lanes of traffic, then entered the west ditch. The vehicle then rolled over onto its top. 

Both the driver and the passenger, 77-year-old Donald Witcher also of Atwood, were transported to the Cheyenne County Hospital where they were pronounced deceased. Both of them were wearing seatbelts, according to the KHP.
