(KAKE) - New video a viewer sent KAKE News shows the scene where the abandoned car was found that Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley were last seen in.

Derek Releford was driving to the grocery store when he passed it. It shows dozens of law enforcement officers on the side of the road looking around.

"We saw the abandoned car with doors open and police presence on the other side of the road," said Derek Releford when talking about what he saw when coming across it.

At the time he didn't know it was the abandoned car Butler and Kelley were last seen in before they went missing Saturday. Six days later and the women still haven't been found.

"We're still working around the clock and doing everything we can to make sure we can hopefully find these women alive," said Hunter McKee with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Investigators say this is an extremely challenging case because of where the car was found. He explains because it was found on the side of a road in Oklahoma with no buildings around it means there's hardly any witnesses and tons of land for authorities to look through.

"Some of this has just been continuing to talk with people and see where people might have seen these two women before they went missing," said McKee when talking a little about what investigators have been doing. In addition to this they've been searching the area.

Some people are frustrated it's been almost a week and there's still no word on where the women are. OSBI says these things take time, adding that it has made progress.

"Based on the evidence that we were able to find it suggests that these women were possibly harmed and it is very concerning," he said.

Authorities say the two women left Hugoton Saturday to pick up kids in Oklahoma. Investigators found their car just south of the Kansas border in Texas county Oklahoma. OSBI believes foul play was involved because of evidence it found in the car but it says it can't say what that is.

"Regarding anything about the exact position of the vehicle, what was inside the vehicle, or what was around it. That is still part of our investigation right now.

McKee says OSBI can't release all information to the public because this is an ongoing investigation. He says there are no suspects right now and the agency doesn't believe there's a threat to the public.
