PAWNEE COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - The name of a man shot over the weekend near Larned has been identified.

The KBI says 52-year-old Dr. Tomas Garza was shot multiple times during an argument with 67-year-old Michael Reynolds Saturday evening. The shooting occurred at a property on K-19 in rural Pawnee County. Garza was transported to an area hospital, but later died of his injuries.

Reynolds was arrested at the scene for second-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Pawnee County Jail. Formal charges are pending.

The investigation is ongoing.
