HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KAKE) - A 52-year-old Hutchinson woman has been arrested after say she allegedly stabbed a man, set his mobile home on fire and tried to burn another person's home. 

The Reno County Sheriff's Office said Amy Rowland was booked into jail for attempted first-degree murder, arson, attempted aggravated arson and criminal threat. She remains jailed on $516,000 bond. 

Deputies responded at around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday to the report of a stabbing in the 5300 block of West 43rd Avenue. They arrived to discover heavy smoke coming from the front door. 

A 65-year-old man outside the home had suffered multiple stab wounds to his chest. He was able to tell deputies that Rowland had set his house on fire, stabbed him and walked away. 

As deputies began searching the area, a 911 call came in from the 5300 block of West Nickerson Blvd. A 59-year-old man reported a woman had entered his home and tried to set it on fire. Deputies responded and took Rowland into custody. 

The home that was burned had extensive damage by the time crews put out the fire. The stabbing victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
