WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - During a House committee meeting Wednesday, the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission shared a timeline update for construction on a historic horse racing facility in Park City.

Golden Circle, which will feature 1,000 horse racing machines and a simulcasting facility, is expected to open on the site of the former Wichita Greyhound Park in September 2025. In addition, they will have a restaurant, deli, smoothie bar, rooftop patio, and an entertainment amphitheater. Future construction includes a 96-room name brand hotel.

The facility is currently in the selection process for machine vendors.
