WASHINGTON COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - A 23-year-old died and two others were injured Friday evening after a crash one mile south of Greenleaf.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Hunter Wohlbrandt of Wakefield, Kansas was driving southbound on Kansas Highway 119 just after 4:30 p.m. Friday when he failed to stop at a stop sign before entering the intersection of Kansas Highway 119 and Kansas Highway 9.

After entering the intersection, Wohlbrandt was struck by an oncoming car crossing the intersection driven by a 15-year-old with a 47-year-old passenger.

Wohlbrandt was transported to the Bryan Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

The 15-year-old driver and 47-year-old in the other car both suffered minor injuries.
