SUMNER COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - The area affected by a gas leak in Sumner County has been reopened.

The Sumner County Sheriff's office posted on Facebook that the leak has dissipated. As a result, the area between Morris and Milan Rd. from U.S. 160 highway to 40th Ave. is now opened back up.

The sheriff's office said it is thankful for people's patience and understanding.

The Sumner County Sheriff's Office said that crews are in the area working to evacuate people after an anhydrous leak was detected. 

US 160 highway from Ryan Road to Morris Road will be closed for a time.
