WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection to a hit-and-run that critically injured a bicyclist on Sunday. 

WPD said in a release Monday afternoon that the suspect was booked for felony hit-and-run, failure to yield to a pedestrian and no driver's license. Jail records identified him as Montrez Glasgow.

Officers responded at around 7 p.m. to the hit-and-run at McCormick and Meridian. The bicyclist was found lying in the street and remains critical but stable at a local hospital. 

"Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect was driving west on McCormick and turned south onto Meridian striking the bicyclist," Wichita police said. "The suspect left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival."

According to WPD's release, the suspect returned to the scene as officers and detectives were investigating. Glasgow was held on $150,000 bond Monday afternoon.

An investigation is underway of a hit-and-run that left a bicyclist in critical condition Sunday evening in west Wichita. 

Sedgwick County Dispatch confirmed a call for a vehicle-pedestrian crash at W McCormick and S Meridian came in around 7 p.m. Sunday and that one person is in critical condition after the incident.

Sgt. J. D. Summerer said a preliminary investigation has revealed that a silver vehicle traveling southbound on Meridian struck a person on a bicycle going eastbound on McCormick. Summerer said the silver vehicle had a green light when it struck the bicyclist, who had a red light, but failed to remain on the scene.

The silver vehicle was last seen going southbound on Meridian. 

The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital where they are being treated for their critical injuries.
