A Ford County highway is back open after two semis crashed southwest of Dodge City.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Highway 56 and Highway 400 and closed the highway for hours. The Ford County Sheriff says it reopened around 11:15 p.m.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports a semi failed to yield on Highway 56 at Highway 400 and turned in front of an oncoming semi. The semi drivers were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries.
