LIBERAL, Kan. (KAKE) - Police in southwest Kansas say one person died and another was injured in a shooting at a sports bar early Sunday morning.

Liberal Police Department officers responded at around 2:10 a.m. to reported gunshots at Capital Sports Bar at 737 South Kansas Avenue. They arrived to find two gunshot victims and a suspect. 

The victims were taken to Southwest Medical Center where one died of his injuries, police said. The suspect was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered. 

No names were released.
