Police: Kansas man shot and killed himself while officers were searching his home

MARION COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - The KBI is investigating the death of Charles Park, who they say shot and killed himself while police were searching his home.
On Monday, April 10, shortly around 10:35 a.m., police began searching Park's home at 341 S. 4th St. in Marion, Kansas. Park was there while deputies and officers were searching his home in connection to a felony investigation.
During the search, Park reached for a shotgun that was hidden inside the house. He then shot himself in front of the officers and killed himself. The coroner pronounced Park deceased at the scene.
No officers fired their guns during the incident and no one else was injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
