Patrol: SUV runs stop sign, causes crash that kills Kansas man

LYONS, Kan. (KAKE) - A central Kansas man has died and a woman suffered potentially serious injuries in a crash Tuesday evening.
The accident happened at around 8:30 p.m. on K-14 three miles south of Lyons in Rice County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports A Hyundai SUV heading westbound on Avenue Q failed to stop at the stop sign at K-14 and collided with a Ford Focus that was northbound on K-14.
The passenger in the Ford, 60-year-old Christopher Morrison of Lyons, was taken to a local hospital where he died. The 50-year-old woman driving the car was hospitalized in Wichita.
The 33-year-old Wichita woman driving the SUV and her 20-year-old female passenger were not hurt.
According to the patrol's crash log, everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
