Victim identified in fatal hit-and-run
(KAKE) - The person who was killed as the result of a motorcycle vs pedestrian collision has been identified by Wichita Police.
According to Public Information Officer Juan Rebolledo, the woman has been identified as 48-year-old Kristine Sheffield from Wichita.
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police have arrested a man following the death of a 48-year-old woman who was killed after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing the street.
Police say 21-year-old Chase Faimon from Valley Center turned himself in after the pictures of a man on a motorcycle were released.

A Wichita woman died Monday night after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing the street.
The Wichita Police Department said that shortly after 7 p.m. Monday night, they were called to the scene of a pedestrian being hit by a motorcycle at the intersection of 11th St. North and Broadway. The 48-year-old woman was found unresponsive lying in the street. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities say the woman was hit by a black-colored dirt bike that left the scene heading north on Broadway.
Faimon is being held on requested charges of murder in the 2nd degree, unintentional but reckless, no valid drivers license and failure to stop and an injury accident, according to online jail records.
