ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (KAKE) - The Cowley County Sheriff's Office says four people who were shot and located at an Oklahoma casino last week have been released from hospitals. 

Undersheriff Christina McDonald said the two men and two women, who range in age from 20 to 36, were in rural Cowley County when "an unknown subject began firing at them." They fled the area and ended up at the 7 Clans Casino in Newkirk. Two were treated at a Wichita hospital and two were treated in Ponca City.

Two of the victims, 24-year-old Bailey Rivers and 20-year-old Juan Miguel Martinez, were booked on unrelated charges for probation violation warrants, McDonald said.

Authorities in south-central Kansas are investigating the shootings of four people who were discovered at a casino south of the state line. 

The Cowley County Sheriff's Office said multiple agencies investigated the report Tuesday regarding four people with gunshot wounds found at the 7 Clans Casino in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Two were transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita and the two others were taken to a hospital in Ponca City.

"Through information gathered the shooting occurred in rural Cowley County and the investigation is still pending at this time," the sheriff's office said.

One victim has been released from Wesley Medical Center and the other three remain hospitalized. Additional case information was not released. 

The sheriff's office was assisted by Arkansas City police, the Kansas Highway Patrol, Kay County (Oklahoma) Sheriff's Office, Otoe Missouri Tribal Police and the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation.
