Standoff in west Wichita ends peacefully
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A standoff in west Wichita ended peacefully. Wichita police say no one was seriously injured in the incident.
At around 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of North Clara to a report of a suspicious character and shots fired.
WPD officer Charley Davidson says the person who fired the shot left the area before police arrived.
Four people were in the home when officers arrived and none of them were seriously injured. Officers found a fifth individual in a detached garage with injuries that included a severed finger and/or severed toe. Police said the shots fired and the injured person in the garage are believed to be separate incidents.

Police are on the scene of a standoff in west Wichita.
The standoff is at the intersection of Central and Clara. Police have all of Clara blocked off.
The scene is active and police ask that you avoid the area.
