Police have arrested a 40-year-old man who allegedly ran over and killed another man in southeast Wichita.

Officers responded at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday to a carjacking in the 900 block of South Mission, near Lincoln and Woodlawn. They arrived to find Travis Shaw who had called 911 and then located 42-year-old David Lee pinned underneath a Chrysler 300 in the front yard of a home.

Lee died of his injuries at the scene.

Officers and investigators spoke with witnesses and reviewed evidence. This led to Shaw's arrest for second-degree reckless murder.

Police say Shaw and Lee knew each other.

The investigation is ongoing and the case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.
