Dominick Dingle is entering his first year as the Heights Falcons head football coach. He inherits senior quarterback Kvonte Baker, one of the most electric players in Kansas, who rushed for more than a thousand yards and 20 touchdowns last season.

Heading into fall 2017, the Falcons had high expectations but fell short finishing 6-4 after a nine win season the year prior.

This year's group is young, Dingle says they will have to grow up quickly in 2018 as he tries to guide them back to their dominant ways.

"Heights football will be very similar offensively and defensively the things that we are doing. We have half of the coaching staff returning from a very solid group of guys but I would say we are going to be a little bit more aggressive defensively," Dingle said.

"I like how he teaches us how to take on leadership more. and he brings us all together more," Baker added.

"We're going to be aggressive but conservative over on the offensive side of the ball. We are going to go back to the Flexbone attack on offense and see if we can run the football a little bit more efficiently. You know just shorten the game and play really good defense," Dingle concluded.

Heights kicks-off their 2018 season at home against Maize South on Friday, Aug. 31.
