Wichita State's Keitha Adams Summer Basketball camps are underway at Koch Arena, starting with team camp today.

Clubs from Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma spent Monday and will spend Tuesday getting the full Wichita State experience with games played at Koch Arena, the Aetna Practice Facility and the Heskett Student Recreation Center.

Adams has also been busy with so many newcomers joining her squad. Last year's team had eight seniors meaning this year's club will have a lot of new faces. She discussed the type of players she has been recruiting.

"You have to be athletic. This is a very high skilled conference and a very athletic conference," Adams said. "High skilled athleticism are the two things we're looking for but the big thing for me is competitive greatness. Kids that are going to play hard to where you're going to come watch us play and you're always going to enjoy watching us play because we're going to what? Play hard. People like to cheer for people who are really committed and are competitive and they're giving it their all and so that's something we look for."

Elite Camp starts on Wednesday, the Mini Shockers camp will be next week.
