The body of a Fort Bragg Green Beret  who was killed while serving in Africa was returned on Tuesday to North Carolina.

Warrant Officer 1 Shawn Thomas died February 2 in a non-combat vehicle accident in Niger, according to the Army Times.

The casket carrying Thomas was seen being removed from commercial flight in a video Lisa West Williams shared video on Facebook. It has been viewed more than 5.7 million times. 

The Oklahoma native deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan a combined seven times, the Army Times said. His awards and decorations include two Bronze Stars, four Good Conduct Medals and various decorations for service abroad. 

Thomas was buried Thursday at Arlington National Cemetery. He is survived by his wife and their four children.
