Wichita's first Culver's, a fast-casual restaurant chain, has opened on the city's northwest side.

Culver's at 3220 North Maize Road opened at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 8. Its website says the hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

The official groundbreaking was in January.

The Wichita Business Journal reports the Wisconsin-based chain has over 900 locations across 26 states, including locations in Lawrence, Topeka and the Kansas City area. Culver's offer butter burgers, frozen custard, curds, and other delicious, sweet/salty treats, the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce

Franchisee Nick Campe previously told the Journal that he plans to add one more Culver's location in Wichita in the future.

Wichita is still awaiting news on the city's first Whataburger and Jack in the Box locations.
