Authorities have canceled a statewide Silver Alert after a missing southeast Kansas woman was found safe.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Frontenac police reported Jean Joyce was located and in good condition. She will be transported home. The KBI did not say where she was found.

A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a woman missing from southeast Kansas. There's concern for her because she suffers from dementia.

The Frontenac Police Department is looking for Jean Marie Joyce, and has asked the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies for additional help.

Jean, 70, walked away from a nursing facility at 316 Wickware Drive, in Frontenac, at around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29. She was last seen wearing jeans and a pink jacket.
