WICHITA, Kan. (WBJ) - It's one of the most-anticipated national brand arrivals Wichita has seen in recent years. But Wichitans are going to have to wait a while longer for their first Whataburger.

Jay Battle, chief operating officer for Whataburger franchisee KMO Burger, confirmed Tuesday to the WBJ that the group's plans to grow into Wichita are on hold until at least 2026, if not 2027.
