LYON COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - One person suffered minor injuries after falling asleep at the wheel and hitting a barrier wall in Lyon County on Saturday morning.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says at 4:49 a.m. Saturday, a 52-year-old Winfield man was driving northbound on I-35 in Lyon County when he fell asleep at the wheel. 

The KHP says the vehicle then left the roadway and the driver overcorrected, traveled across both northbound lanes and hit the barrier wall. The driver suffered minor injuries, the crash log indicates.
