WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Officers responded to Wichita State University following a bomb threat Thursday night, and upon its investigation, the campus is safe.

Around 10 p.m. Thursday, a call was made to Wichita State University Police indicating the presence of a bomb on WSU’s campus at Wallace Hall and the Starbucks on 21st Street. An alert was sent across the campus community, and people were asked to evacuate and avoid the area during the investigation. University police officers searched both locations and no devices were found, WSU shared in an update online

"At this time, police suspect the threat is not credible but are taking every precaution to ensure campus safety," the university continued in the update. "WSU will continue to update the campus community as more information is available."
