MISSING IN KANSAS: Desiree Martinez located safe

The Winfield Police Department shared, as of Thursday, Desiree Martinez was located safe.

"Officers have just made face-to-face contact with Ms. Martinez, who is alive and well," the department shared in a Facebook post. "This is all that will be released at this time. Thank you to all who helped share our post and spread the word."

A Kansas woman is worried for her daughter, whom she hasn't heard from in more than a week.

Annette Martinez said she last saw her daughter Desiree Martinez on Tuesday, April 9. She and her partner were spotted around 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Winfield fairgrounds.
