WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A 59-year-old man has been sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison for rape, stalking and other charges. 

The Sedgwick County district attorney's office said Judge Tyler Roush sentenced Ed Harrington to 155 months with lifetime post-release and sex offender registration. A jury in February found him guilty of rape, domestic battery, stalking, burglary and theft. 

Wichita police arrested Harrington, of Sedgwick, in the summer of 2021. In May of that year, a woman reported that Harrington, who is known to her, placed the GPS device on her vehicle, which was located and removed at a local automotive shop.

In July 2021, detectives interviewed Harrington regarding the case and a prior burglary in which the victim's was was broken into and numerous items were stolen. He was then arrested.
