RAWLINS COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - Two people have been arrested following a search warrant executed on a home in McDonald on Tuesday.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Rawlins County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on a home in the 200 block of Decatur Avenue in McDonald around noon. Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located during the search.

Claudine Valles, 48, of McDonald, was arrested for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Allen Statley, 36, also of McDonald, was arrested for possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, possession of drug paraphernalia, and multiple violations of the Kansas Offender Registration Act.

Valles and Statley were then booked into the Thomas County Jail in Colby. An investigation is ongoing.
