WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A Sedgwick County jury has convicted a 20-year-old man of killing two people in a parking garage in Old Town Wichita last summer. 

After just over an hour of deliberating, the jury in Judge James Fleetwood's courtroom found Zachary Ramirez guilty on two counts of first-degree murder, two alternative counts of second-degree murder, criminal discharge of a weapon, aggravated battery and two counts of battery. A sentencing date has not been set.

Ramirez fatally shot 21-year-old Bryan Lara-Hernandez and 19-year-old Josephina Lerma-Dominguez in the early-morning hours of July 27.

Officers responded to an unknown call for EMS at the Old Town parking garage near the now-closed Regal Warren theater. Dispatch advised there was a four-door Honda with a bloody person inside. The car also had bullet holes in it.
