WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Following the Paddy Parade in Delano, many folks wandered over to Naftzger Park to continue the celebration.

“It’s a perfect day. I mean people need to get out and have a good time, that's what it’s all about,” said Lyle Schuette, 50th admiral wind wagon smith.

Wichita Wagonmasters put on the Wagon O’Masters Paddy Party for plenty of people eager to celebrate the season.

“Everybody just seems so happy you know I mean it's a fun day. Everybody gets to wear green and if you don't you get pinched so that really drives that force so it's nice,” said Gage Dickerson, party attendee.

It was Dickerson’s first time attending a St. Patrick's party in Wichita- but it didn’t disappoint.

“A lot of things are going on in this world, so it's just nice for everyone to come together every once in a while and just kinda put away our differences and just hang out and have a good time and listen to music,” said Dickerson.

Folks enjoy the live music played by wagon masters, games, and plenty of refreshments.

“Unfortunately St. Paddy’s falls on a Sunday so to be able to celebrate today and with friends, yea so and beautiful weather,” said Kelly Coley, party attendee.

The beautiful weather was perhaps the star of the show on Saturday.

“Kinda kicks off spring, it's super nice out. This park is really awesome and pretty family friendly so it's just a nice way to gather with people and have fun,” said Susan Sterling, party attendee.

The party went on from 9 a.m. all the way to 5 p.m. making for a full day of celebratory and very green fun right here in Wichita.
