DODGE CITY, Kan. (KAKE) - Police have arrested two teenagers in connection to reports of vehicle vandalism around Dodge City.

In the early morning hours of March 4, officers began responding to multiple reports of vehicle damage across town. Officers found numerous vehicles with windows damaged, consistent with being shot by a BB/pellet gun. The majority of these incidents were reported east of Central Avenue, with a few cases also emerging in the western part of town.

That same day, officers located the vehicle that was believed to be involved in the vandalism. A search warrant was executed on the vehicle and numerous items of evidence were collected.  The next day, an 18 year-old male and a 19 year-old male, both of Dodge City, were arrested for their alleged connection to the vandalism. Felony charges have been filed with the Ford County Attorney’s Office for criminal damage and conspiracy to commit criminal damage.

Residents living in affected areas who have video surveillance systems are encouraged to review their footage and share any pertinent information with Dodge City Police.
