WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police have arrested two people in connection to the shooting death of a 42-year-old woman on Thursday. 

Sedgwick County Jail records show 33-year-old Martin Velazquez-Villas and 24-year-old Jose Velazquez-Carillo were booked early Friday morning on suspicion of first-degree murder. Each is being held on $500,000 bond.

The shooting happened at around 4 p.m. in the 1400 block of South George Washington Blvd. Police said in a release that the victim, Candace Amack was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside of a home. She died at the scene. 

Using Flock technology, officers were able to identify a possible suspect vehicle leaving the area after the shooting. They located the vehicle at a home in the 1300 block of North Jackson Officers, near 13th and Waco. 

"In collaboration with the Kansas Highway Patrol air section, the Wichita Police Department coordinated efforts resulting in the safe apprehension of the suspects at approximately 7:45 pm near 13th and Hydraulic on a vehicle stop. WPD said. "Two individuals were detained without incident."

The department has not commented on the relationship between the suspects and the victim. Police say there's no indication that the shooting was random, and no additional suspects are being sought.
